ABOUT

Who is Jason and where is his Record Dungeon?

Jason Wendleton is the author of this blog. He has had an affinity for records, tapes, compact discs, and MP3s for as long as he can remember. He never liked 8-Tracks, though. Before he wrote on this blog, he had another one called “Defending Axl Rose.” That blog was less about Axl Rose and more about Kanye West…it was weird. After taking a few years off, Jason is ready to write about music again.

So where is the Record Dungeon? Well, it’s not really a dungeon–that would be silly. Because Jason owns so many CDs and records he has to keep them in storage in his basement. A basement is kinda like a dungeon, right? The truth is, “Jason’s Record Basement Storage Area” would not sound as catchy/cool.

Jason sadly rarely buys physical media these days, but suspects that writing on this blog will change that (heck, he just bought a vinyl LP last week). If you want to drop him a line or recommend an album or artist to him, you can reach him at: JAWendleton@gmail.com.

Yes, he did name his son after Warren Zevon. He’s also calling in sick the day Keith Richards dies.

Jason’s favorite record store is Vintage Vinyl, located in St. Louis, Missouri. He also has fond memories of a now long gone CD Warehouse in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and also a long gone Tower Records in Nashville, Tennessee.

Here is the author pretending to be crossing Abbey Road but really he’s in Vintage Vinyl, circa 2019.
