“Stacks of wax. Crates of jewel cases. It’s all down here in the record dungeon…”

This blog is my music blog, there are many others like it, but this one is my own.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been into music in a big way. I have boxes of CDs and crates upon crates of records. My wife makes me keep them in the basement. Sometimes I get them out and write about them. I also stream a lot of new music and compare it to the stuff I used to listen to.

Life has gotten in the way of my love of music, and I’m hoping to have an outlet for my interest will help inspire me to keep exploring new musical frontiers. And to justify buying more records.

“Classic Albums Revisited” is an ongoing series where I review and re-evaluate albums from yesterday. Some of these are timeless classics everyone knows, while others are more obscure records from well-known bands. Mostly, this series is an excuse to write about albums I missed out on reviewing when they were originally released. The work is never done. I’ve been writing these since 2011, and many of these posts have been ported over from my previous website.
